Is it normal to cry in every therapy session?
Mostly.Normal for most people
Yes, crying in every therapy session can be normal, especially if you’re working through something emotional. You don’t have to cry for therapy to be helping, though.
Therapy can bring up feelings you’ve been holding in, and some people tear up easily when they talk about difficult or personal things. If that happens session after session, it doesn’t mean you’re doing therapy wrong or that anything is wrong with you.
If the crying feels overwhelming, or you leave each time feeling shaken, tell your therapist. They can help slow things down, make room for grounding, or figure out what would help you feel more comfortable. And if you don’t cry one day, that’s normal too.
