Is it normal to feel embarrassed all the time?
Feeling embarrassed sometimes is very common, but feeling that way nearly all the time can be exhausting and may be worth looking into. You don’t have to just put up with it if it’s getting in the way of your life.
Lots of people replay conversations, worry they’ve done something awkward, or feel self-conscious around others. But if embarrassment is there most of the time—even when nothing especially embarrassing has happened—it can be a sign you’re carrying a lot of stress or fear of being judged. That doesn’t mean anything is wrong with you, and you’re definitely not the only one who feels this way.
If it’s making you avoid people, work, school, or things you’d otherwise enjoy, consider talking it through with someone you trust or a mental health professional. You deserve some room to feel comfortable, not to spend every day cringing at yourself.
