Is it normal to feel no remorse?

Depends.It depends

It can be normal not to feel remorse in a particular situation, especially if you don’t believe you did anything wrong or you’re emotionally numb. If you repeatedly hurt people and feel no concern about the impact, it’s worth taking that pattern seriously, even if the feeling of remorse isn’t there.

It depends on what happened and whether this is a one-off feeling or a broader pattern. People don’t always feel guilt or remorse on cue; sometimes they feel numb, defensive, or simply think their choice was justified. Not feeling remorse doesn’t automatically make you a bad person.

Still, feelings and actions are separate. If someone was hurt, you can take responsibility, make things right where possible, and avoid repeating the behavior even if you don’t feel sorry. If this lack of concern is persistent and causing problems in your relationships, talking it through with a counselor could help you understand what’s going on.
