Is it normal to fight once a week?

Depends.It depends

Couples disagree, and some argue more often than others, so fighting once a week isn’t automatically a sign the relationship is doomed. What matters is whether you can resolve things respectfully—or keep having the same hurtful fight without anything changing.

A weekly disagreement can happen, especially during a stressful stretch or while you’re working through a recurring issue. Plenty of couples don’t fight that often, though, so it’s worth noticing how the arguments affect you both—not just counting them.

Healthy conflict usually leaves room for listening, apologies, and repair. If fights regularly involve contempt, threats, fear, controlling behavior, or physical harm, that’s more serious than ordinary bickering, and you deserve support.
