Is it normal to fight once a week in a relationship?
Fighting once a week can happen, but the number matters less than how you fight and whether you can repair things afterward. If the same conflict keeps repeating or you feel afraid, belittled, or worn down, it’s worth taking seriously.
Couples disagree, and a weekly argument doesn’t automatically mean your relationship is doomed. What matters is whether you can talk without insults or threats, listen to each other, and make up in a way that actually changes something.
If you’re having the same fight every week, or arguments are getting more intense and leaving you tense or unhappy, that’s a sign something needs attention—not a scorecard proving either of you is the bad one. Try bringing it up during a calm moment and focus on the pattern, not just the latest disagreement.
