Is it normal to have an internal monologue?
Depends.It depends
Yes—having an internal monologue is normal, but so is thinking without a constant voice in your head. People experience their thoughts in different ways, and neither style is a problem by itself.
Some people narrate their day, rehearse conversations, or hear thoughts as words. Others think more in images, feelings, or vague concepts—or have an inner voice only now and then. There’s a whole range, and plenty of people don’t realize their experience isn’t universal until they compare notes.
