Is it normal to have no thoughts in your head?
Yes—many people don’t have a constant inner monologue, and some experience their minds as quiet or wordless. That doesn’t mean you aren’t thinking; your thoughts may show up as images, feelings, or quick impressions instead.
People’s inner worlds vary a lot. Some have a running voice narrating the day; others think mostly in pictures, feelings, or ideas that don’t arrive as words. A quiet mind can also just mean you’re focused on what’s happening right now.
If you mean you never seem to think, even when you’re trying to make a decision or remember something, it may help to notice whether thoughts show up in a different form. But not having much of an inner monologue by itself is usually just a normal variation—not a sign that anything is wrong.
