Is it normal to not miss anyone?
Yes, it’s normal not to miss people much—or to rarely feel that particular kind of longing. It doesn’t mean you don’t care about them.
People experience closeness differently. You might enjoy someone when they’re around without feeling a strong sense of absence when they’re away, or you may be so focused on the present that missing them just doesn’t come up much. Some people only notice they miss someone when they see or talk to them again.
Missing people isn’t a scorecard for how much you love them. If you still care, show up for them, or enjoy being together, that counts too. If you mean you’ve stopped feeling connected to anyone and that feels upsetting or comes with a broader sense of numbness, it may be worth talking it through with someone you trust.
