Is it normal to pop your jaw?
Mostly.Normal for most people
Jaw popping is common, and if it’s painless and your jaw moves normally, it’s usually nothing to worry about. If it hurts, gets stuck, or makes it hard to open your mouth, get it checked by a dentist or doctor.
Jaw popping or clicking happens to lots of people, sometimes when they chew, yawn, or open their mouths wide. A painless pop by itself is usually harmless, so you don’t need to keep trying to make it happen just to test it.
If the popping comes with pain, locking, or trouble opening your mouth, a dentist or doctor can check what’s going on.
