Is it normal to sweat more when losing weight?

Depends.It depends

Sweating more can be normal if you’re exercising harder or spending more time in warm conditions while losing weight. If it’s new and unexplained—especially with unintentional weight loss or other symptoms—it’s worth getting checked.

If you’re losing weight by exercising more, you may simply be sweating more because you’re working harder. Heat, humidity, stress, and some medications can also affect how much you sweat; weight loss itself doesn’t reliably cause extra sweating.

If the sweating is happening without a clear reason, is soaking your clothes or sheets, or comes with weight loss you weren’t trying for, fever, or feeling unusually unwell, check in with a healthcare professional.
