Is it normal to think about your job all the time?
It’s common for work to follow you home sometimes, especially during a busy or stressful stretch. If you can’t switch off even when you want to, or it’s crowding out sleep and the rest of your life, it may be worth changing how work fits into your day.
Lots of people replay conversations, plan tomorrow, or worry about unfinished tasks after work. That can be especially hard to avoid when you care about your job or things are hectic.
But “all the time” can feel exhausting. If work thoughts are stopping you from resting, enjoying time with other people, or sleeping, try making a small end-of-day routine—write down what needs doing tomorrow, then deliberately call it done. It’s also reasonable to talk with your manager about workload or boundaries if work keeps spilling into every part of your life.
