Is it normal to dislike most people in law school?
It’s not unusual to find law school classmates irritating, especially in a competitive, stressful environment. Disliking nearly everyone is worth reflecting on, but it doesn’t mean there’s something wrong with you.
Law school can bring out a lot of stress, comparison, and networking-brain, which may make people seem especially smug or exhausting. You also don’t have to click with your classmates just because you share a classroom; lots of people keep a small circle or find friends outside school.
If “I dislike everyone” mostly means “I’m tired of the competitive vibe,” that’s a pretty understandable reaction. If it feels like nobody is tolerable anywhere, or the feeling is making you miserable, it might help to look at whether burnout or stress is coloring the whole picture—and make room for people and activities that aren’t law school.
