Is it normal to hate motherhood?
Depends.It depends
It’s normal to hate parts of motherhood—or even feel regret and resentment sometimes. If those feelings are constant or overwhelming, you deserve support rather than having to tough it out alone.
Motherhood can be exhausting, isolating, and relentless, and loving your child doesn’t mean you have to love the job. Lots of parents have moments when they wish they could get away from it all; admitting that doesn’t make you a bad parent.
If “I hate motherhood” is how you feel most of the time, or you’re feeling hopeless, numb, or unable to cope, tell someone you trust and consider talking with a healthcare professional. Burnout, depression, and anxiety can make parenting feel unbearable, and support can help.
