Is it normal to hate being a mom sometimes?
Mostly.Normal for most people
Yes—sometimes hating the demands or feeling trapped by motherhood is more common than people admit. It doesn’t mean you don’t love your child or that you’re a bad mom.
Motherhood can be exhausting, repetitive, and lonely, and you can resent the job while still loving your kid. Plenty of parents have moments when they wish they could step away from the responsibility for a while; people just don’t always say it out loud because they feel guilty.
If that feeling is constant, getting heavier, or making it hard to care for yourself or your child, tell someone you trust and consider reaching out to a therapist or healthcare professional. You deserve support, not a lecture about being grateful.
