Is it normal to feel a tampon?
Depends.It depends
You generally shouldn’t feel a tampon once it’s in comfortably. If you do, it may not be inserted far enough, or it may be too large or too absorbent for your flow.
A tampon can feel noticeable if it isn’t sitting high enough in the vagina, or if it’s a size or absorbency that doesn’t suit you. Try relaxing and gently inserting it a little farther, or use a smaller size; don’t force it, especially if it hurts. You can also try again with a fresh tampon when your flow is heavier, since a dry tampon can be uncomfortable to insert or remove.
If it still feels uncomfortable, take it out and use a pad or period underwear for now. Get medical advice if you have ongoing pain, can’t insert or remove a tampon, or notice other unusual symptoms.
