Is it normal to not like therapy?
Mostly.Normal for most people
Yes, it’s normal not to like therapy. It can feel awkward, tiring, or unhelpful, especially if the therapist or style isn’t a good fit.
Therapy asks you to talk about personal things with someone you may barely know, so it can feel uncomfortable or even irritating. Some people also dislike the structure, feel pressured to open up, or simply don’t click with a particular therapist. You’re not doing therapy wrong just because you don’t enjoy it.
If you want support but the sessions aren’t working for you, it’s okay to say so, ask for a different approach, or try someone else. And if you decide therapy isn’t for you right now, that’s a valid choice too.
